The Henne reservoir, which is located at the edge of the Sauerland-Rothaargebirg nature park has a dam of over 60 m in height, with a dam wall, and with a total volume of approximately 40 million cubic metres provides a water supply, flood protection and power generation. The electrical supply, light distribution, and pump control are ensured by a number of switchgears.
