Solar power charging with control by an external energy manager

"Charging with control by an external energy manager" involves the use of an external management system (EMS), The EMS controls all energy flows in the system, including PV systems, energy storage and loads. Thanks to intelligent control of the energy flows, in the ideal situation only self-generated energy is used as a supply. This significantly increases consumption from own sources and independence from mains power. Please refer to our compatibility list to find out which energy management systems the Spelsberg Wallbox is compatible with.

List of compatible EMS

All parameters are configured via a web-based platform of the EMS. All energy flows are centrally displayed via the energy manager. This allows precise operating times according to the availability of the PV current.

The configuration in the wall box is restricted to the connection with the respective EMS and the associated communication interface. To do this, open the Spelsberg Wallbox app and go to System and then to Settings. Next click System integration and then External control. At this point, you can choose between integration via SMA SEMP, EEBus or Modbus TCP and continue with the configuration as described below. In principle, all devices must be in the same network for integration. Information on network integration can be found here Network integration.

Connection to the Sunny Home Manager 2.0 via SMA SEMP

To configure the Spelsberg Wallbox Smart Pro with the Sunny Home Manager 2.0 via SMA SEMP, follow the settings in the Spelsberg Wallbox app. Detailed information on the various charging modes and the functions of the Spelsberg Wallbox Smart Pro in conjunction with the Sunny Home Manager 2.0 can be found here. The following parameters must be set:
