Abox XT
You often need electrical wiring even in places where the conditions are challenging, for example underwater or underground. For this, you need a junction box which is waterproof and which will guarantee that your electrical installations are fit for purpose. This is a job for the Spelsberg Abox XT junction boxes. The connection terminals are sealed with cast resin in accordance with DIN EN 60670 and DIN EN 60529. The advantage is that retrofitting can be carried out easily and at any time despite the sealing, as the casting resin is simple to remove again. Our waterproof junction boxes give you the benefit of an innovative and durable product that ensures that electrical systems work perfectly even in damp and wet environments when installed outdoors.
The Abox Pro XT junction box from the new Abox series has material properties that make it ideal for use in areas close to water or in industrial environments. The waterproof junction box is made of impact-resistant and weather-resistant polycarbonate. The terminal box can be wired with cable cross-sections of up to 10 mm². The waterproof junction box easily withstands ambient temperatures from -35 °C to 80 °C, the 24-hour ambient temperature is 60 °C. The junction box is VDE-tested, sealable and has IK08 class impact resistance. The waterproof junction boxes are used, for example, to connect cables for tunnel or street lighting as well as lighting for outdoor displays or advertising hoardings.
The new Abox Pro XT again comes with the SL types from Wago. It also has a special feature: It is the WAGO's only waterproof junction box with screwless terminals. During a twelve-month large-scale trial, the encapsulation solution was tested in conjunction with the terminal blocks and its suitability was established in collaboration with WAGO without compromising contact safety.
The new Abox Pro XT from Spelsberg can be installed in just a few steps. Clamp as normal, pour in the casting resin and wait.
Subsequent verifications are also no problem with the waterproof junction box.
